I treat patients using a systematic, evidence-based, functional medicine approach. What makes my practice unique is that I also look at every patient and their health concerns through an ancestral nutrition and lifestyle lens. This helps bring your body back into balance and minimize the mismatch between genes and environment. I also focus on REMOVING what might be disrupting the body and ADDING what might be needed for optimal functioning.
The vast majority of patients will see results that may vary from significant improvement to full resolution of their symptoms. Results will vary from patient to patient depending on how long symptoms have been present, how aggressive we choose to be in our evaluation and treatment, and how involved you are in your care.
There are many variables that determine this. Some people feel better within days to weeks, while for others it may take months. The earlier you are in your experience of your symptoms, the faster we can likely achieve results. We will give you a specific prognosis during your office visit.
It’s difficult to list an exact amount because different people will require differing amounts of care.
However, we pride ourselves on being cost-effective. We promise not to order frivolous testing, prescribe unnecessary treatment, or do anything else that could squander your financial resources.
The total cost of the Getting Started Appointment is $395. At this appointment, we will come up with a dietary and lifestyle plan customized for you. This alone can make a huge difference in your health. We will also discuss whether your situation would benefit from further testing including lab work, treatments, or follow up appointments at that time.
You will always receive a personalized estimate to approve or modify before you pay.
In my striving to spend more time with my patients and to keep patient costs down, I have elected to keep Flathead Functional Medicine insurance free. Because of this, we are not restricted to what your insurance thinks is appropriate for you. Also, I am able to spend more time with you, the patient, and less time submitting information about your care to insurance that will likely not be covered. Another benefit is transparency. We can tell you before any lab, appointment, or supplement prescription exactly what you can expect to pay.
That being said, there are a few select labs that might be covered or partially covered by your insurance.
I am also able to charge FSA or HSA cards for payment.
Yes, both local and distance. Patients can be seen in person at our office in Whitefish, MT or via phone/video call.
